Testimonials

This is what some of our guests have said about their stay at Secluded Trails:

We recently spent a wonderful weekend at Secluded Trails. The house itself is large and open with many wonderful paintings and antiques. Music plays softly in the background. The room we were given was at the back of the house with a delightful view of the gazebo and the trails beyond. It was beautifully appointed with a queen sized bed and an adjoining fully equipped bathroom. One of the other rooms, which we will request when we return, has a beautiful king sized sleigh bed and a Jacuzzi tub.

Our hosts, Chris and Doug Beckett, were gracious, welcoming and informative. The breakfasts were superb. Coffee ready as soon as you come down, followed by juice, fruit bowl, bacon, sausages, eggs or pancakes with toast and muffins. Delicious!

Lots to do in the area – swimming, boating, hiking in the summer and of course, skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. Huntsville offers lots of interesting shops and restaurants.

We highly recommend Secluded Trails if you are looking for a bed and breakfast in the Huntsville area that offers a warm and cultured home set amidst our great Near North!

A wonderfully peaceful and relaxing weekend. Our hosts were very warm and hospitable and made us feel right at home and very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, the snowshoeing was great and the hot tub was fabulous. Having a massage on the premises in the privacy of our own room was simply invigorating and a perfect wind-down after a day of snowshoeing.

Simply a wonderful retreat.

Thank you so much for your hospitality. As unseasoned travellers, the opportunity to stay in your home has been absolutely fantastic. Both of you epitomise to us as Australian/New Zealanders what true “Canadian hospitality” is. We will never forget our time with you and hope that some time in the near future we can bring our family.

With much appreciation,

Matthew and Julie Puketapu Melbourne, Australia (July 2005)

Thank you for the accommodation. It was excellent for all of my family. It gave our last stop in Canada a wonderful ending. Hope to see you again.

Thank you for sharing such a wonderful home. We had a truly wonderful stay – loved the room! The house is just gorgeous and the company of the dogs was great too. We hate to leave today. Hoping to make it back here for the fall colours.
